Police in Putnam County, Florida are looking for a hit and run driver who ran over a 13 month old baby near Palatka, Florida.  The 13 month old, Caleb Cronk, crawled across a private driveway at Silver Lake Oaks Mobile Home Park at about 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday and was hit by a car.  The child's mother is Amy Sowell, who said that Caleb was playing with other children aged 3 to 4 years old outside.  Sowell said that she went inside to go to the bathroom and her neighbor told her about the accident.  The child was critically injured by the accident and flown to Shands Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida, where he died overnight.  Police are not able to provide a description of the vehicle of the hit and run driver.  The speed limit sign on the roads read 10 mph.  It is unclear how fast the vehicle was going.  The boy's mother and neighbors are looking for a red pickup truck.  Anyone with information should contact the Florida Highway Patrol.

When a wrongful death occurs, personal injury attorneys from Moody Law can answer your questions about the process.  Some claims can be made as the next of kin while others require the action of a personal representative of a probate action.  Oftentimes, the only asset of a probate is a personal injury lawsuit itself.  For more information on wrongful death, please contact a personal injury attorney with Moody Law in the greater Central Florida area, including Lakeland, Winter Haven, Bartow, Haines City, Davenport, and Polk County, Florida.
