St. Petersburg, Florida.  A bicyclist was hit by two cars on Gandy Boulevard on Monday night.  The accident happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. near the Interstate-275 overpass.  The crash is still under investigation.

Bicycle accidents can be very dangerous for the bicyclist.  We all have to share the road to some degree even if we have the so-called right of way.  While the right of way governs who should go and when they should go, there are many times where an accident resulting in injury or death can easily be averted by avoiding someone who has violated the right of way as is the idea of sharing the roadway rather than determining who was right of wrong.  The right of way, however, will be a factor in determining the appropriate percentages of comparative fault of each driver or person using the roadway.  For instance, a jaywalker may be wrong cross the road, but that does not give a motorist the right mow him over.  If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident in the Lakeland, Bartow, Haines City, Davenport, Auburndale, Polk City, Lake Wales, or Polk County, Florida community, please contact a Central Florida personal injury lawyer from Moody Law.  A consultation with one of our Central Florida personal injury lawyers is free.  We handle select cases on a statewide basis.
