Yesterday's car accident injured eight people.  Two of those injuries were serious.  The accident involved four car and shut down all eastbound lanes of Interstate-4 near Winter Park, Florida.  The accident occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m. near the Fairbanks Avenue exit on I-4.  Police are searching for the driver of a 2002 Ford pickup truck that fled the accident scene on foot.  That driver has been identified as Antonio Lorenzo Anselmo, 37, of Lake Mary, Florida.  Police do not understand why he fled the scene as he had a valid driver's license and has insurance.  The article identifies him from Mexico but he may be here illegally.  Although Anselmo had nothing to do with causing the accident, he will face a charge of leaving the scene of an accident.  The accident was caused by a disabled vehicle in the inside lane.  As traffic slowed for the vehicle, John Ely, 49, of Lake Mary, did not stop his 1989 Chevrolet Camaro to avoid striking the rear of a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Gloria Martinez from South Carolina.  Martinez was forced into a 2002 HOnda Accord driven by Albert Martinez, also of South Carolina.  Martinez was then pushed into Anselmo's truck.  Ely was seriously injured.  A girl riding in the 2004 PT Cruiser was seriously injured.  Three children from South Carolina suffered minor injuries.  Ely will be charged with causing the accident.
