Girl, 5, Injured in SR 60 Car Accident Dies

Lakeland, Florida.  5-year-old Keeley Smith died from injuries suffered in the August 7, 2010 car accident on S.R. 60 in Mulberry, Florida.  The accident occurred when the sport utility vehicle that there were passengers in crossed te mediation SR 60 and collided with oncoming traffic.  Keeley's mother, Pamela Smith, 37, of Lakeland, Florida, died at the scene of the crash.  The accident occurred near Royster Mine Road at approximately 1:00 p.m. on August 7.  Six other people were injured in the accident.  Smith's sister in law said that she had heard that the SUV slid on a wet road.  Other persons injured included at least one in critical condition.
