Orlando, Florida.  A 91-year-old man was killed when his car was struck by an Orange County police cruiser.  The man was just a matter of feet from his own home when his car was T-boned by the patrol car.  The accident happened at approximately 5:35 a.m. on Magnolia Homes Road near Calloway Drive.  The elderly man was identified as Edward Charles Soistman and was driving a 2005 Buick LaCrosse.  The deputy, who has still not been named, appeared to have suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident.  She was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  The elderly man died at ORMC.  The patrol car struck the Buick LaCross on the driver's side.  This accident is still under investigation.
