Motorcycle Rider Killed in Lake Wales Car Accident

A Plant City man died from injuries sustained in a car accident in Lake Wales, Florida.  The accident happened when Laurie Ervin, 42, made a left turn onto Winhorst Road East in Lake Wales.  Ervin was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus.  Andrew Stoeth, Jr., 72, was the driver of a three-wheeled motorcycle and died from injuries sustained in the accident.  His wife, Janis Stoeth, 64, was a passenger on the 1988 Honda Goldwing Trike.  The accident occurred just before noon.  Andrew Stoeth was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he died.  Janis Stoeth was taken to the same hospital in serious condition.  Ervin appeared to have suffered minor injuries and was taken to Brandon Hospital.
