A 19-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident in Holiday, Florida on April 10, 2011.  This accident happened at approximately 7:55 a.m. on Grand Boulevard and Cheyenne Drive as Christopher Henn, 27, made a left turn into a driveway.  Henn was driving a 1997 Mercury.  Henn and his passenger suffered minor injuries.  Bryan Lohr was the driver of the motorcycle.  Lohr was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

This accident appears to have happened because a driver of a car failed to look for motorcycles on the roadway.  Motorcycles can sometimes be harder to see than cars because the driver of the car expects to see two headlights set apart moving down the roadway.  When the vehicle only has a single headlight or the headlights are closer together, it is not the pattern that the brain is expecting to see and the driver makes a mistake that they would not normally make.  Nonetheless, this is an event that creates legal liability on the driver of the car because the driver of the car has a duty to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles on the roadway.  This includes not only motorcycles, but also bicycles, pedestrians, children in red wagons, etc.  If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident, please contact a Central Florida car accident or personal injury attorney for a free consultation regarding your case.  Each and every case is different as there are a number of facts and circumstances that vary from case to case.
