Winter Haven, Florida.  Thomas Jeremy Dick was driving a silver Dodge pickup truck when he struck the rear end of a van driven by Tawnya T. White near the intersection of U.S. 27 and Cypress Gardens Boulevard.  Dick was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and had a BAC of 0.131.  The accident caused serious injuries to Tiffany A. Woodham, Zachary D. Rowles, Pamela D. Cheverier, and Tawnya T. White.  Woodham, carrying an unborn child, died before arriving at the hospital.  The unborn child was not able to be saved by caesarean delivery.  Witnesses told police that they saw Dick driving erratically and even went off the roadway prior to the accident.

This accident is a tragedy.  It is unfortunate that some people go out onto the roadway in cars after they have been drinking.  Mr. Dick appears to have senselessly taken two lives and shattered many more.  These cases will undoubtedly land in our criminal and justice systems.  Regardless of how harsh the sentence is or how high the civil jury verdict is, the victims' lives will never be the same.  If you or a loved one has suffered an injury in a car accident, choosing the right injury attorney may make a difference on your case.  You only have one shot at justice and you are not just up against the people who did you wrong, you are also up against the insurance companies who are in the business of taking in premiums and minimizing claims.  A consultation with a car accident or injury attorney at Moody Law is free.
