Terry Lee Butt, Sr. and Gregory Todd Geng died as a result of a small airplane crash in Lakeland, Florida.  The Lakeland Ledger reported that the airplane struck a Key Safety Systems building on Allen K. Breed Highway.  The plane was reported to be a Piper Apache PA-23 and was reported to have been owned by Tailwheels Etc. which is a local flight school.

If you have a loved one involved in this collision, you may wish to speak to a Lakeland aviation attorney about what needs to be done next.  While the government will conduct their own investigation into the cause of the accident, the survivors should have knowledgeable and experienced personal counsel to evaluate the evidence and pursue any and all appropriate legal claims.  This accident, like virtually all accidents, has a cause or number of causes.  While pilot error is a common cause of small airplane accidents, there may be an equipment failure that caused or contributed to the accident.  The Lakeland aviation attorneys at Moody Law have handled a number of aviation accidents in the past with million dollar recoveries being made for the claimants.  In one case in particular, Moody Law represented a family who lost a loved one where a Tailwheels airplane was inadequately maintained.  While the government does its investigation, they do not necessarily do everything that must be done to preserve the evidence so that claims can be properly made.  There is normally a significant liability insurance policy on most airplanes that is intended to benefit the family members of those who lose loved ones in aviation accidents and those who experience significant property damage as a result of an airplane accident.

A consultation with a Lakeland aviation attorney is free as these cases are normally done by attorneys on a no fees or costs basis unless there is a settlement.  Mr. Moody is a licensed instrument pilot with many hours of experience in the cockpit.  This experience provides Mr. Moody with a unique set of skills as an aviation attorney to evaluate issues in cases.  Moody Law is available to help you.
