Bankruptcy Filing:   Insys Therapeutics, the opioid pharmaceutical company of the drug Subsys, a powerful rapid onset opioid used for pain, filed for Bankruptcy on June 10, 2019.

On May 2, 2019, The Department of Justice announced the founder and four executives of Insys Therapeutics were convicted by a federal jury in Boston.  The company executives were found guilty of bribing medical practitioners to prescribe Subsys, a highly-addictive sublingual fentanyl spray for pain management.  Many patients were wrongfully prescribed Subsys by their pain management doctor often when medically unnecessary.  Subsys was intended to be used to treat patients with break through cancer pain.

Edward Lubin, MD, formerly of Gessler Clinic, PA, in Winter Haven, Fl, according to CMS Medicare claim records was the # 2 prescriber of Subsys in the entire United States.

Patients who were prescribed Subsys have a limited time to file their claim in the bankruptcy.  Should you wish to learn more information about how to protect your rights or have any questions, please contact:
