71-Year Old Lakeland Motorcyclist Killed in Car Accident

This motorcycle accident resulted in the death of a currently unidentified 71-year old man from Lakeland, Florida.  The accident happened at approxoimately 11:35 a.m. in Auburndale, Florida.  88-year old William Charles Ward of Auburndale, Florida, was driving a Honda Accord and made a left turn from Adams Road onto S.R. 559 to go south. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.  The crash is still under investigation.
