19 Year Old Critical After Tire Blowout

Chris Russo Jun 22, 2010

A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition after a tire blowout on Interstate-95.  The left rear tire of her 2000 Ford Explorer blew out after a tread separation.  The woman's SUV left the roadway, struck a metal guardrail, and flipped end over end three time before catching on fire.  The woman is identified as Katherine Parker from Sanford, Florida.  The accident happened in the left lane near mile marker 168 in Malabar, Florida.

Tire blowouts can be serious and/or fatal events on the roadway.  This is particularly true with Ford Explorer blowout cases that were extensively litigated.  If you or a loved one has been injured as a result of a tire blowout car accident, please contact a personal injury lawyer with Moody Law in the greater Central Florida area to discuss the facts and circumstances of your case.  You may be entitled to compensation for injuries suffered as the result of a design or manufacturing defect.  A consultation with one of our personal injury attorneys is free.
