Tampa Motorcyclist Killed in Crash
Mark Graves, 43, was driving his 2010 Harley DAvidson motorcycle when he was struck and killed by a pickup truck. Graves was driving west on Busch Boulevard near Arrawana Avenue at apprximately 4:30 p.m. George Gunter, 74, was driving east in a 2006 Ford pickup truck. Gunter appears to have made a left turn in front of Graves and failed to yield. Graves appears to have attempted to avoid the accident by hitting the brakes but still struck the passenger side of Gunter's pickup truck. Graves was pronounced dead at the scene. Graves was not wearing a helmet. Gunter did not appear to be injured. This car/motorcycle accident is still under investigation.
Cars and motorcycles unfortunately strike each other on our roadways. These accidents frequently involve more serious injury or death to the motorcyclist but not the driver of the car or truck. In this case, it appears that the pickup truck was at fault for the accident and that Graves suffered a wrongful death.
