May 27, 2010. The family a the 14-year old boy who died following a 2008 water scooter accident has sued the owner of the water scooter.
May 26, 2010. A five car accident has occurred in North Lakeland. The pileup occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. near the Sam's Club on U.S. Highway 98 North. Two people were thrown from vehicles and one person was trapped as reported in the Lakeland Ledger.
May 26, 2010. A traffic fatality occurred on Interstate 95 in Volusia County. The accident involved two vehicles. One vehicle rolled over in the accident. One person died at the scene.
May 23, 2010. A 3-year old boy was killed after darting out into traffic at Fort Mellon Park and was hit by a pickup truck. The child was at a hot dog stand with his father when he slipped away and ran between two cars. The accident happened along the RiverWalk on Lake Monroe near the Splash Pad, a water attraction for children.
May 24, 2010. A 4-year old was seriously injured by a lawnmower accident in Orange County, Florida. The child was apparently riding with another person on the lawnmower when the accident happened. The accident cause wounds to the face and a "near amputation." The accident was reported after 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
May 24, 2010. A 57 year old man in St. Petersburg, Florida was injured when the city bus that he was riding in as a passenger collided with a school bus. No children were on the school bus at the time of the crash. Nine passengers were aboard the Pinellas Suncoast Transit bus at the time of the crash. The man was takng to St Petersburg General Hospital and released with minor injuries.
May 24, 2010. A woman from Orlando, Florida was killed in a car accident Sunday. Stephanie Natal Rodriguez, 22, passed away at Orlando Regional Medical Center. The accident occurred when a motorist veered his car into oncoming traffic striking her vehicle.
May 24, 2010. A multi-vehicle accident in Orange County, Florida injured a woman and a Florida Highway Patrol trooper. A total of four vehicles were involved in this crash. The accident occurred near Apopka Vineland Road and Conroy Road.
Mount Dora, Florida. May 23, 2010. A boating accident injured a 10-year old girl who was on an inner tube pulled by a 16 year old boat driver. The 16 year old boat driver made a sharp turn to avoid hitting another boat. The accident happened on Lake Ola. The 10 year old girl suffered head injuries and was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
May 24, 2010. A 25 year old man from Lakeland, Florida was killed in a car accident on Kathleen Road. David Burney, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene. Burney had a passenger in his car, Elaine M. Young, 23, was ejected from the vehicle and taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred at approximately 10:19 p.m.
